What is the Czech Bluegrass Music Association?
CzBMA is a civic association founded in 1995 and registered with the Ministry of the interior of the Czech Republic. It has about 300 members from Czech Republic and several other countries. It is controlled by five elected members of the CzBMA.

What is the aim of the CzBMA?
– to encourage playing and listening to bluegrass and acoustic music
– to help bluegrass develop
– to ensure Czech bluegrass contact abroad
– to keep the members informed about bluegrass scene

What the CzBMA does?
– The CzBMA is publishing the newsletter Bluegrassové listy (Bluegrass Letters) quarterly.
– The CzBMA is taking part in organizing the oldest European bluegrass festival, the Banjo Jamboree in Čáslav, Czech republic.
– The CzBMA is organizing a virtual showcase for bands that want to participate in the Banjo Jamboree festival.
– The CzBMA is co-organizing BG workshops and trying to support regular all-year concerts of BG acts.
– The CzBMA supported releasing a CD of top non-professional BG bands from the Banjo Jamboree in Caslav.
